Funny, relatable, adorable.

If you’re a pet owner, young or old, this is the most relatable thing you will see all year. Dash all the negative nannies who said this plot wasn’t great. It is simple, yes, and you know there is that nice happy ending you always get with Pixar. However, the characters are charming, funny and adorable, they each have their own quirks relating to their species and breed with one or two curve balls (BALL?!?).

It had me doubling over in giggles and nudging my cinema buddy every time something relatable and cute came along. As an owner of many different pets I found myself reminiscing to times with my own best furry, feathered or scaled roommates.

Just like Dug in Pixar’s ‘Up’ they nailed just what we know our pets to be and why we love them. My summer favourite, and one I think I had been craving since that fluffy talking golden retriever.
